It certainly has been fun visiting all the blogs and sites meeting new quilters and crafters. I am only about half way through the list with the goal to visit all participant's site. I just have to do it in chunks. So if you have come to see what I am giving away please go here.
I am whooping it up! The baseball t-shirt quilt top is finished!
Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back to sleep? That was me this morning. So I began to think about the next step to finish this quilt. I was thinking along the lines of the exported picture from Electric Quilt for the back of the quilt. Wouldn't that make it more special? I have a patch from one of Caleb's t-shirts that will work great in the middle of the star.
So what do you think?
This quilt is going to be a bear to quilt since it is so heavy!!
I'm thinking of line or grid quilting it.
Today is Linky Tuesday at Connie's Freemotion by the River's blog. Stop by and take a peek at others great creations. And it is Sew Cute Tuesday at Better Off Threads! Fun stop as well!
Thanks for stopping by. If you haven't entered for the giveaway be sure to do that before leaving.
Have a great day!
What a fun backing idea! I haven't made a tshirt quilt yet, but I imagine them to be quite heavy, hope the quilting goes smoothly--straights with a walking foot sounds like a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI love the t-shirt quilt and what a great backing idea!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite t-shirt quilt! My nephew is twelve right now and very involved in athletics. I am thinking a similar quilt for his graduation would be perfect. Before I saw this quilt, I would have never done a t-shirt quilt. And the name on the back is fun.
ReplyDeleteThis t-shirt quilt is awesome! Really nice...
ReplyDeleteOh, great work! Lots of memories in it?
ReplyDeleteLooks great Joanie, I love the shadows! Wonderful finish!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
