Well looky here Andy is working his arm around Ann. And look he is smiling about it too. Ann looks quite pleased about it, wouldn't you say?
This is the set that is now listed in "My Etsy Shop." Just click on the tab above or the hyper linked words. Great ideas for Christmas presents.
Also newly listed is the St. Louis 16 Patch quilt.
This is the first time in a long while that I don't have anything on my design board quilt wise. Hopefully I can rectify that tomorrow if time allows for it. I have 3 quilts that I want to begin of which one I would love to ideally have completed by Christmas.
I began washing the fabric for it. I had the nicest surprise when opening up the package of Kona Cotton this morning that I had ordered from JoAnn Fabrics online. I received almost another yard free of cost because it was slightly less than one yard! If I were in the store they would have offered it to me for 50% off.
Another nice little surprise was when I visited my local quilt store about one week ago. The quilt store owner said, "Oh I was going to call you today. You won the prize for guessing my age several weeks ago." She was celebrating her birthday. So what did I win. Seamingly Scrappy Quilt Book. You can look inside Seaming Scrappy at Amazon.com here.
these are so cute Joanie, and bring back lots of memories from my childhood. What a sweet gift for your friend!

In think your Ann and Andy posts are my favorite!!! (as you know how fond I am of them). I think that first ANny is my absolute favorite so far!! SO glad you shared! :)
ReplyDeleteThese are really beautiful. I still remember so fondly the Raggedy Ann I had as a child. it is wonderful to see that unlike so much of the past these are still on the go.
ReplyDeleteFab work Joanie, so much detail :D
ReplyDeleteJoanie, Love the raggedies! Really cute.
ReplyDeleteDon't you want to link them on my Link-Up too?

Your Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls bring back memories from my childhood. My mom used to make and sell these at craft shows, she must have sold hundreds of them. I got to cut the loops on the hair. They look great!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the score and the win! Such a fun way to brighten the winter days! Your RA and A are adorable! I had a set when younger and I think your heart for gifting them away is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThey're so cute! Great job.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your win too.
These are so adorable! Cute cute!!
ReplyDeleteLove these! They remind me of getting these as a child from my grandma!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!! I think those dolls must be harder to complete than a quilt! And about JoAnn's? I had that happen to me too! I ordered several different pieces that were on sale and got that same surprise on quite a few pieces. How can you beat that? I love ordering online from JoAnn's cuz, you never know! :)
ReplyDeleteYour newest Raggedy Ann and Andy and just adorable! I had never noticed the differences in how the different companies dress them.
ReplyDeleteJoanie, Thanks for linking up. I love those dolls. Reminds me so much of when my daughter was still a little one.

Darling is RIGHT!! Oh my goodness they are adorable. I tried *just once* to make a simple dress for a doll for my granddaughter last year and I don't know how people do it...working with the small pieces was so hard ( plus I was and am a novice ) so my hat is off to you...I know there is much difficulty in something like this! :) Oh your friend will be so happy to receive these...what a wonderful gift! :)
ReplyDeleteI love Raggedy Ann and Andy and your doll are just adorable! I actually had a large Raggedy Ann doll in Kindergarden and I used to wear the doll's clothes to school :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable Raggedy Ann and Andy! My mom makes lots of those dolls - both my girls have a set and love them. : ) Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteYou have done such a nice job on these two, keeping with tradition, too! I love seeing a bit of the past in our love of sewing.

Adorable dolls. One year all I wanted for Christmas was a pair of Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. I was so disappointed that "Santa" hadn't brought them. Years later when it was safe to admit shopping, my mom told me how she had looked everywhere and not found any. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
ReplyDeleteYour dolls are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThey are adoreable, and I can imagine the parts being quite small. Your bosses grandchildren will be very pleased with them!
ReplyDeleteSweet new set of Ann and Andy, Joanie! They are gorgeous! Heading to your shop to see more!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh.... These Raggedy Ann and Andy bring me back a few decades... They are very sweet!
